GIFTS OF GRACE
  
Once again, our students touched hearts with their testimony and music. The faithful response of those in attendance will allow us to fund our financial aid, purchase new technology for several classrooms, and provide some seed money to begin the restoration of Bear Creek adjacent to Cascade, aptly dubbed, "The Eden Project".
Our evening began with the Christian Leadership Award presentation to Cascade's Varsity Boys' basketball coach of 20 years, Brian Morse. Involved with Grace and Cascade on multiple levels as a student, parent, and coach, Brian has distinguished himself as an outstanding leader and influencer of young men.
The newly-added coffee bar, friendly student service, and the delicious tri-tip beef dinner from Jacksonville Inn in a magically-decorated Green Room set the stage for a wide variety of talent. We heard the broad range of the guitar from classical to rock. This year's "get out your hankie" moment came from Cascade Junior Ryan Alcantara, who won the crowd with a touching Christmas song and thanked us for the blessing of financial aid, which currently allows him and over 175 others to attend our schools!
Our goal of $265,000 was surpassed, and your generosity, along with the Lord's blessing brought us to a final toal of $315,000! Some of this money is already going to work for your students, upgrading five computer labs between out two campuses. One lab received all new, state-of-the-art machines, with others trading equipment around to retain the newest, and retire the very oldest, computers. Our students enjoy up-to-date technology for learning, thanks in large part to our gracious donors.
Our teachers are also riding the technology train. Several new ActivBoard Interactibe Whiteboards will be installed in classrooms over the next few months. These amazing teaching tools combine the functions of computer, video projector, and a high-tech white board, allowing the teacher to use this powerful trio as a captivating presentation device, and more.
