SPIRITUAL LIFE
Spiritual Foundation Days
The first few days of each school year at CCHS begin with Spiritual Foundation Days (SFD), with a program designed to challenge our campus to grow in following Christ. The Associated Student Body (ASB) Officers develop a theme, invite speakers, and create a program that encourages students and staff to get to know one another and to begin the year with a renewed sense of community.
Chapel
The chapel programs at CCHS are designed to point students to the timeless Truth of God's Word and to the grace of an Almighty Savior, Jesus Christ. Weekly gatherings include student-led worship to engage the heart and a time for our community to experience God's presence in the midst of our busy lives. Programming is diverse and includes outside speakers, dramas, video-based discussions, and testimonials.
Service and Outreach
Students of Cascade Christian High School are encouraged to live out their faith in service to others, both in their community and through short-term mission experiences. Students have participated in trips to the Dominican Republic and Mexico, and this year a group from CCHS will be heading to Managua, Nicaragua for a Spring Break outreach.
Spring Break 2011 Mission Trip to Colegio Christiano El Padul in Managua, Nicaragua
Colegio Christiano El Padul has become dear to our hearts at Grace Christian School and cascade Christian High School. Years of oppressive dictatorship, wars, and natural disasters has left much of Nicaragua in a cycle of poverty and hopelessness. Schools like
Colegio Christiano El Padul offer their students the hope of Jesus Christ, as well as an education and better way of life.
The team goals for the 2011 trip are:
- Share their love of Jesus Christ.
- Begin lasting friendships with the Nica high school students.
- Encourage Nica students to complete their education and receive a diploma.
- Practice with the students as they each learn a second language, English or Spanish, to promote future career aspirations.
- Personally grow in their relationships with the Lord as they serve.
